Cleansing: (top)

1. Baby Burp Cloths!
You can purchase these at the 99 cent store or Wall Mart-type store in your area. The fabric of these cloths is soft and gentle and puts terry wash cloths to shame!

2. Luke Warm Water!
For the face follow this rule of thumb: Everything in moderation, no extremes. So when cleansing, wash with luke warm water instead of very cold or very hot water. The extreme temperatures make the blood vessels in the face expand and contract too rapidly, and often are the cause of broken capillaries. Also keep this in mind when drinking alcohol and spicy foods.

3. Oatmeal!
This classic breakfast food is often the best mask for irritated skin. Purchase it at the market or health food store and mix it in with hydrocortisone lotion, aloe vera gel and a few drops of lavender oil (if you want to infuse aromatherapy into it), it will form a paste, chill it in the fridge - especially if your skin is red - and then apply it for 15 minutes. Rinse with WARM water and finish with a mild moisturizer or hydrocortisone cream.

Exfoliate: (top)

1. Planting Seeds!
Talk about affordable! When your body is feeling dry and scaly purchase some planting seeds from your garden store and create your own exfoliating body scrub by adding the seeds to some aloe vera, baby oil, moisturizer and your favorite essential oil. If you want it to feel like the spa treatments, you end up paying top dollar for, microwave the scrub for about 30 seconds to get it warm, them apply liberally in circular motions until ready to rinse it off.

2. Dry Brushing!
Everyone forgets to take a moment to do this, but it works! These body brushes can be purchased from the drug store or even a discount 99 cent store and you just brush down the length of your body before entering the shower or bath. The brushing helps lift off dry dead skin cells and gets circulation of lymph fluid and blood going. You will immediately feel invigorated!

Broken Products: (top)

1. Broken Blush!
Shucks, you just purchased a new blush and now it is in pieces shattered on the floor! Pick up the broken pieces and lay them in a shallow dish. Grab your petroleum jelly and mix a small scoop into the dish. By doing so you have just created a new lip gloss for yourself!

2. Plastic Day of the Week Pill Dispensers!
What should you put #1 (new lip gloss)? Once only thought of for vitamins and medicine, pill dispensers are great for melted lipsticks and broken blushes and eye shadows you want to salvage.

On the Go: (top)

1. Lunch Boxes Rock!
When on the go, driving all over the place for meetings and simply having long days, the best thing to cart with you is your child's lunch box (you'll look at that Britney Spear's lunch pail in a whole new way!). Use the lunch box and a frozen brick to keep your makeup and beauty "meltables" safe so you don't have to revert to my "Broken/Melted" Makeup tips!

2. The "Clear" Products!
Keep Clear Mascara and Clear Nail Polish with you! The mascara is great for brushing up eyebrows, lips and eyelashes while the nail polish is great for runs in your pantyhose & brightening up a shabby manicure.

3. Braun Cordless Hair Curler!
This cordless hair appliance retails for about $24 and will save you in a pinch when you having a bad hair day and can't make it to the salon!

Aromatherapy: (top)

1. Scent Cotton Swabs
with your favorite essential oil! A great way to de-stress while on the go, at your office, or when creating a spa home. Dip cotton swabs into you favorite essential oil scents (i.e. lavender, orange) and inhale the aroma! If taking them "to go" place them in individual zip baggies to ensure the scents once you get to your destination.
